Methodology
How an engagement moves
A repeatable sequence we use across instrumentation reviews, funnel diagnostics, and reporting design — so you always know what happens next.
-
Frame the decisions
We start from the questions your team must answer weekly — activation, conversion, retention, revenue quality — not from a blank dashboard canvas. Out-of-scope vanity metrics get named and parked.
-
Trace the journeys
Critical user paths are walked with product and engineering present. We note where intent should leave an event, where properties must stay stable, and where client-side noise currently masquerades as signal.
-
Confront the warehouse
Existing events, tables, and dashboards are compared against the journey map. Gaps, collisions, and high-cardinality properties are scored by how much they distort decisions you already make.
-
Prescribe the smallest fix
You receive a prioritized implementation list, naming conventions, and — when relevant — funnel or retention findings with evidence. We prefer fewer trustworthy events over a larger schema nobody owns.
-
Leave a durable handoff
Definitions, owners, and review cadence go into a short document your team can enforce in pull requests. Optional follow-up workshops keep vocabulary aligned after major releases.
